My heart rushes at the thought of #ShiftThePower in my moments of silence and solitude. Lots of possibilities keep surging in my mind – the connection, the collaboration, the contribution and the solidarity. These are what it brings to the people engaged in it wherever they are in this whole wide world. Imagine such a global movement owned and driven by everyone, harnessing everyone’s creative and innovative juices and talent.
As for me, it compels me, it excites me, it challenges me and makes me commit along with its driving force to transform the system, to shift power to the people and, along the way, to gradually bring to life the society we want.
What need is there to worry? Trust and commitment is built among fellow travellers in the journey to make change happen. Power to the people! Just see what change and difference it could make. I cannot let myself not be a part of it. As this anthem reverberates in our ear: “The whole wide world around today, we shall overcome someday!”
