Soheir Asaad, Rawa Creative Palestinian Communities Fund (Palestine)

Soheir Asaad is a political and feminist Palestinian organizer and a movement lawyer. Soheir leads the advocacy at Rawa Creative Palestinian Communities Fund, which works within progressive philanthropy and in cross-movement spaces, to advocate for addressing harm caused by funding and realizing accountability, and promotes trust- and solidarity-based approaches that return power to communities and supports an infrastructure for independence in Palestinian community work. Soheir is also the co-director of the "Funding Freedom" project. Previously, she worked in legal research and international advocacy at Palestinian and regional human rights organizations.
